Description

  • Lead and manage up to two engineering teams (2–4 engineers each), providing technical guidance, mentorship, and support to help team members grow and succeed.
  • Collaborate with product management, design, and research to develop and prioritize product roadmaps that align with MetaMask's overall strategy.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, experimentation, and continuous learning within your teams, encouraging knowledge sharing and process improvement.
  • Drive technical decision-making to ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable, high-quality, and reliable.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of the technical landscape by staying up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor activity.
  • Coordinate and work closely with other engineering teams to ensure seamless integration and collaboration across the MetaMask ecosystem.
  • Define, track, and report key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and impact of your teams and use data to inform product decisions and growth.
  • Communicate technical plans, progress, and results to stakeholders including product leaders, designers, and other engineering teams.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of software engineering experience.
  • 2+ years of software engineering management experience.
  • Hiring management experience (involvement in recruiting/hiring processes).
  • Experience with Agile software engineering methodologies.
  • Experience developing software and solutions for consumer-facing products.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with JavaScript, TypeScript, web development, Node.js, React, and Git/GitHub.
  • Web3 software development experience (preferred).
  • Open source software contributor experience (preferred).
  • Being a MetaMask user (preferred).
  • Willingness to submit to background checks including employment, education, and criminal record checks (required for employment).
