Description

  • Define and drive QA strategy, standards, ownership, and processes across Storefront, Internal Apps, and Mobile pods.
  • Establish release-readiness criteria, severity guidelines, and test coverage expectations.
  • Partner with engineering, product, and design leaders to embed quality throughout planning, development, and release.
  • Define quality metrics, report results, and use insights to guide priorities.
  • Manage, coach, and mentor QA engineers in test design, automation, accessibility, and AI-assisted workflows.
  • Evaluate and implement test management and bug tracking tools.
  • Own test planning, test case management, and regression processes across all pods.
  • Contribute to and review Playwright and TypeScript automation suites.
  • Guide API and integration testing for AWS serverless services, including REST and GraphQL APIs.
  • Drive WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility testing and support complex testing and release validation.

Requirements

  • 7–10 years of experience in QA or software testing for web, mobile, or digital products.
  • 2+ years of experience leading, managing, or formally mentoring QA engineers.
  • Experience defining QA strategy and maturing QA processes.
  • Strong TypeScript skills and the ability to read, review, and write code with engineers.
  • Hands-on test automation experience with Playwright and TypeScript or similar tools.
  • Working knowledge of React and modern web application architecture and deployment.
  • Experience testing headless or composable eCommerce architectures; Liquid-only storefront experience is insufficient.
  • Basic understanding of AWS and serverless microservices architectures.
  • Experience with manual testing, test case design, API testing, REST, GraphQL, test management, and bug tracking tools.
  • Experience with WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility testing and AI tools for QA workflows.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills; experience with React Native, mobile automation, Shopify, CI/CD, gamified features, or building QA functions is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is preferred.
