Description

  • Perform quality assurance reviews of transaction monitoring system cases against the established quality rubric and compliance guidelines.
  • Support Coinbase’s AML/CFT program by auditing cases from CX and Compliance production teams.
  • Assist with second-line-of-defense reviews and respond promptly to findings.
  • Lead calibrations and office hours for other QA analysts.
  • Conduct root cause analysis on thematic issues and identify procedural gaps or inconsistencies.
  • Propose solutions to improve procedures, clarity, and consistent execution.
  • Train new QA and QC joiners and validate their practice cases.
  • Collaborate with Data Analytics, Escalations, Financial Crime Compliance, and L&D teams to improve workflows and processes.
  • Present QA findings, metrics, insights, and recommendations through dashboards and weekly reporting.
  • Support agents with questions on complex procedural requirements and review unusual or complex cases using regulatory knowledge.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of hands-on experience in QA, audit, or financial crime investigation.
  • Working knowledge of BSA/AML laws, regulations, and rules for financial services/products.
  • ACAMS certification or an equivalent AML qualification.
  • Experience assisting with, developing, and producing metrics and reporting.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Highly motivated, analytical, organized, innovative, and adaptive.
  • Ability to multitask, work on a team, and operate as a self-starter.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with global partners across functional units.
  • Willingness to work extended hours when necessary to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work with limited direction from management when needed.
  • Intermediate proficiency in PowerPoint/Google Slides and Excel/Google Sheets.
  • Ability to responsibly use generative AI tools and copilots in daily workflows with human-in-the-loop practices.
  • ACAMS certification or equivalent AML certification is preferred.
  • Experience at crypto exchanges or in financial services, ideally in payments, trading operations, or technical support, is preferred.
  • Experience in project management, analytics, or quality assurance is preferred.
  • Advanced degree in business, finance, or legal is preferred.
  • Advanced understanding of Google apps, JIRA, and Salesforce Service Cloud is preferred.
