Description

  • Contribute to product and design strategy for Coinbase’s financial infrastructure tools.
  • Own end-to-end design for high-impact features and net-new products from discovery through launch.
  • Design tools for fund flow onboarding and controls, ledgers, reconciliation, financial lineage exploration, and treasury command centers.
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, Finance, Treasury, Accounting, and Compliance to define problems and ship solutions.
  • Design UI and interaction patterns for data-intensive, workflow-heavy enterprise tools.
  • Turn complex financial data into clear, actionable information through data visualization and information design.
  • Run iterative design cycles with internal users, testing prototypes and refining based on feedback and operational data.
  • Establish scalable design patterns and reusable systems for internal platform UX.
  • Influence technical roadmaps and decision-making in highly technical settings as the sole designer.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of professional Product Design experience, including Staff-level scope and leading complex multi-stakeholder projects end-to-end.
  • Proven experience designing enterprise solutions for complex workflows used by technical and non-technical users.
  • Experience designing internal tools, developer platforms, or operational tooling.
  • Strong data visualization skills and the ability to make complex data digestible and actionable.
  • Systems thinking and experience building tools from the ground up where no UI exists.
  • Excellent UX thinking, systems design, and clear written communication.
  • Experience influencing product strategy and roadmaps in partnership with Product and Engineering.
  • Strong cross-functional communication and stakeholder management across Product, Engineering, Finance, Accounting, Treasury, Compliance, and Operations.
  • Ability to work independently in ambiguous environments and focus on the right problems rather than only executing tasks.
  • Sharp attention to detail across visual design, interaction design, and prototyping.
  • Fluency in Figma and modern prototyping tools, including the use of AI tools to prototype or ship faster.
  • Ability to responsibly use generative AI tools and copilots such as LibreChat, Gemini, and Glean with human-in-the-loop practices.
  • Low ego, collaborative, and open-minded working style.
  • Nice to have: experience as a Coinbase user.
  • Nice to have: experience designing for regulated industries such as financial services or fintech.
  • Nice to have: experience with financial systems such as ledgers, reconciliation, treasury, and accounting tools.
  • Nice to have: background in data visualization and lineage tools.
  • Nice to have: interest or experience in AI applications and coding.
  • Nice to have: experience in startups or 0→1 environments with high agency and ownership.

Benefits

  • Annual base salary range of $207,485 to $244,100 USD, excluding equity and bonus.
  • Total compensation may include equity eligibility.
