Description

  • Build, lead, and develop a team of Data Product Managers and Analysts.
  • Own the compliance data product suite, including Customer Risk Scoring, Transaction Monitoring, AML, Screening, and Sanctions.
  • Design and implement the end-to-end compliance data risk framework covering data quality, usage risk, and lineage risk.
  • Define and enforce formal data contracts between engineering producers and compliance consumers, including control requirements and change management.
  • Partner with senior engineering stakeholders to maintain comprehensive system-of-capture lineage and transparency to regulatory reporting.
  • Act as the bridge between Compliance SMEs and Engineering leadership to ensure data integrity is embedded in technical design.
  • Prioritize work using a risk-based approach focused on high-materiality data elements and systemic change.
  • Foster a culture of technical excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement within the team.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in Data Product Management, Data Engineering, or Technical Program Management.
  • Proven experience managing and scaling technical data product teams in a regulated Financial Services or FinTech environment.
  • Deep subject matter expertise in AML, KYC, Sanctions, and/or Transaction Monitoring.
  • Ability to lead technical discussions on ETL pipelines, SQL, and data modeling with engineering partners.
  • Experience mapping complex data flows across distributed systems to meet regulatory standards such as BCBS 239 or similar.
  • Strong executive stakeholder management skills, with the ability to balance speed to market and data integrity.
  • Experience designing compensating controls to manage residual risk in complex technical environments.
  • Familiarity with cloud-native data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, and BigQuery, including metadata and lineage at scale.
  • Demonstrated ability to use generative AI tools and copilots responsibly in daily workflows with human-in-the-loop practices.
  • Preferred: CAMS or CDMP certification.
