Description

  • Develop a deep understanding of machine learning engineers’ needs, current capabilities, and platform gaps.
  • Mentor junior engineers and help raise the quality of software and engineering practices.
  • Improve the availability and latency of ML inference infrastructure for predictive models and LLMs.
  • Optimize low-latency streaming pipelines to deliver fresh, high-quality data to ML models.
  • Promote best practices for high-performance distributed training jobs that process large volumes of data.
  • Build tooling to monitor data quality and detect degradations that affect model performance.
  • Collaborate across engineering efforts to support ML at scale, including stream processing, distributed training, and online services.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of industry experience as a Software Engineer.
  • Strong understanding of distributed systems.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to lead by example through high-quality code.
  • Strong design skills with the ability to bring clarity to complex technical requirements.
  • Customer-focused mindset toward other engineers and delivering a seamless developer experience.
  • Mastery of engineering fundamentals and the ability to work effectively across varied technologies.
  • Ability to responsibly use generative AI tools and copilots in daily workflows and apply human-in-the-loop practices.
  • Experience building ML models and working with ML systems is preferred.
  • Experience working on a platform team and building developer tooling is preferred.
  • Experience with Python, Golang, Ray, Tecton, Spark, Airflow, Databricks, Snowflake, and DynamoDB is preferred.

Benefits

  • Annual base salary range of $186,065 to $225,000 USD.
  • Total compensation may include equity and bonus eligibility.

  • Remote-first flexibility for many roles, with required in-person participation throughout the year.
