Description

  • Lead communications strategy for major legislative and regulatory initiatives.
  • Partner with legal and policy teams to turn complex litigation and filings into clear public narratives.
  • Mobilize advocacy by elevating consumer perspectives for policymakers.
  • Build and maintain relationships with national political, financial, and technology journalists.
  • Use X and other social platforms to shape the news cycle and communicate directly with key audiences.
  • Maintain Coinbase’s brand authority across multiple election and regulatory cycles.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in high-stakes political communications, such as Hill, campaign, or agency rapid-response work.
  • Proven experience as an on-the-record spokesperson handling high-pressure national media inquiries.
  • Deep understanding of how to influence public opinion and move a news cycle through digital platforms, especially X.
  • An ownership mindset and comfort working in an always-on, campaign-style environment.
  • Commitment to working in a non-partisan environment.
  • Passion for crypto and blockchain technology as a means to update the financial system.
  • Nice to have: based in the DC area.

  • Annual base salary range of $170,000 to $200,900 USD.
