Description

  • Design and own the evolution of data pipelines and platform components, including leading design reviews and defending technical decisions.
  • Build and maintain ingestion pipelines using AWS DMS, Amazon AppFlow, and Amazon EventBridge to move data into AWS S3 and Snowflake.
  • Model and optimize analytics datasets in dbt Cloud using dimensional modeling and SCD Type 2 logic.
  • Lead performance tuning, cost optimization, monitoring, alerting, and root-cause analysis across the Snowflake environment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prepare curated datasets for Power BI and downstream reporting.
  • Write production-grade Python and manage infrastructure as code with Terraform.
  • Use AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot and Claude as part of day-to-day engineering work.
  • Mentor peers through code reviews and engineering enablement.
  • Ensure data infrastructure supports full historical accuracy and scalable analytics delivery.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional experience in Data Engineering roles.
  • Strong proficiency with Python, including AWS Lambda.
  • Advanced SQL skills.
  • Experience with dbt Cloud, Snowflake, Terraform (IaC), and Docker.
  • Deep hands-on experience with AWS data services including S3, Glue, Athena, EventBridge, AppFlow, and DMS.
  • Solid understanding of dimensional modeling, including star schemas, fact/dimension design, and SCD Type 2.
  • High autonomy, ownership mindset, and ability to raise risks early.
  • Comfort working with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot and Claude.
  • Advanced English written and spoken is mandatory for remote collaboration.
  • AWS Certified Data Engineer – Associate (DEA-C01) or equivalent certification is preferred.
  • Experience with CDC and near-real-time ingestion patterns is preferred.
  • Exposure to orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow, Dagster, or Prefect is preferred.
  • Familiarity with data observability tools such as Great Expectations and Monte Carlo is preferred.
  • Experience with open table formats such as Apache Iceberg is preferred.
