Description

  • Serve as the interim business-side leader for a major strategic initiative or domain with unclear or fragmented ownership.
  • Build the operating model, including structure, decision cadence, working model, and accountability mechanisms.
  • Identify, architect, and deploy AI-powered tools and approaches to accelerate execution and solve complex healthcare problems.
  • Drive measurable business outcomes and concrete results rather than simply coordinating work or reporting status.
  • Bring order, momentum, and clarity to underbuilt, unstable, or materially reshaped areas of the business.
  • Lead through ambiguity by defining the path forward, consolidating ownership, and unblocking stuck initiatives or functions.
  • Stabilize execution and improve decision quality in high-priority areas.
  • Prepare the work for a long-term handoff to a durable owner, team, or organizational structure.
  • Build a stronger ownership model and leave behind a function, initiative, or system that is materially improved.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in investing, consulting, business operations, strategy, startup leadership, or other highly selective operator tracks.
  • Experience working in elite, high-judgment environments.
  • Strong pattern recognition to diagnose messy business problems quickly.
  • Ability to move from strategy to operating detail without losing altitude.
  • Experience handling ambiguous, high-stakes work with incomplete information and driving it to a real outcome.
  • Credibility with senior executives, including the CEO, Chairman, and OpCo.
  • Comfort working across functions and with leaders throughout the company.
  • Willingness to take on intense, temporary, highly leveraged roles that focus on building, stabilizing, and transitioning work.
  • Preference for builders who create structure where none exists and turn ambiguity into durable execution.
  • Systems-thinking orientation with an understanding of incentives, decisions, interfaces, and organizational design.
  • Not suited for candidates looking to run an IT transformation office, manage a PMO, or operate as a process administrator.
  • Experience with AI and emerging technology is relevant for accelerating execution in healthcare (preferred).
