Description

  • Gather requirements from multiple stakeholders and translate them into technical plans.
  • Lead architectural design and technical direction for high-impact initiatives.
  • Guide multiple engineering teams in adopting scalable, maintainable solutions.
  • Collaborate across teams to align priorities and refine product requirements.
  • Promote engineering excellence through design reviews, mentorship, and best practices.
  • Explore and evaluate new technologies, methodologies, and tools.
  • Ensure solutions are robust, secure, and performant in production environments.
  • Champion automation, reliability, and continuous improvement across engineering.
  • Lead the design of a unified dependency graph system that ingests projects and calculates full dependency trees.
  • Research how multiple programming languages handle packages and define a universal data model for them.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Python is required.
  • Knowledge of additional programming languages is a plus.
  • Senior-level experience designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable software systems.
  • Hands-on engineering leadership with regular code contributions and architecture ownership.
  • Experience shaping product direction, gathering requirements, and translating them into technical goals.
  • Experience with technical product management or direct ownership of product roadmaps is highly valued.
  • Ability to own major components across the full lifecycle, from concept and prototyping through delivery and evolution.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders.
  • Ability to prioritize effectively, align differing viewpoints, and turn feedback into actionable plans.
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to make informed engineering trade-offs in context.
