Description

  • Partner with the sales team to understand customer requirements and provide technical sales support.
  • Identify customer initiatives and business problems and map them to Cloudflare solutions.
  • Build relationships and technical champions within customer accounts.
  • Develop and deliver customer presentations at the enterprise level.
  • Lead product demonstrations and proof-of-concept activities for prospects and customers.
  • Create professional technical content such as white papers and blog posts to share expertise.
  • Represent and evangelize Cloudflare at developer, community, technology, cybersecurity, and industry events.
  • Apply in-depth vertical or domain knowledge and advise customers on best practices.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Solutions Engineer or other customer-facing technical role in CDN, security, networking, or SaaS.
  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
  • Ability to manage several projects and activities concurrently.
  • Highly driven, curious, team-oriented, and able to work with a sense of urgency.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • Up to 50% travel is required for customer meetings, conferences, industry events, and internal collaboration.
  • Fundamental understanding of customer network and/or application architectures is preferred.
  • Experience with hybrid architectures involving Azure, AWS, or GCP is preferred.
  • Knowledge or experience with application and/or network security, SaaS environments, VPN and remote access, SIEM and log analytics platforms, and client OS fundamentals is preferred.
  • Experience engaging senior-level or executive stakeholders and familiarity with routing, subnetting, split tunnels, SD-WAN, local internet breakout, DDoS, malware, phishing, viruses, and the CDN/security competitive landscape is preferred.

  • Estimated annual salary of $208,000 - $254,000 for Maryland-based hires.
  • Estimated annual salary of $211,000 - $254,000 for New York City, New Jersey, and Washington D.C.-based hires.
