Description

  • Perform independent quality control reviews of SBA loan files for compliance, accuracy, eligibility, documentation completeness, and guaranty requirements.
  • Verify alignment with SBA SOPs, bank policies, internal credit approvals, and applicable banking regulations.
  • Identify documentation deficiencies, compliance exceptions, operational risks, and recurring quality trends.
  • Track quality control findings and exceptions, and recommend corrective actions and process improvements.
  • Support internal and external examinations, regulatory reviews, audits, and related information requests.
  • Collaborate with credit analysts, loan officers, closers, borrowers, and other stakeholders to resolve documentation, disbursement, and compliance issues.
  • Coordinate across teams to support accuracy and compliance from origination through portfolio transition.
  • Stay current on regulatory requirements and complete mandatory compliance and IT training.
  • Question suspicious activity and help prevent fraudulent activity.
  • Maintain an understanding of bank policies, procedures, and regulations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience with SBA loan guidelines, processes, documentation, and/or quality control.
  • Strong understanding of SBA SOPs, SBA lending guidelines, banking regulations, and internal credit policy expectations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while contributing to a collaborative team.
  • Remote role within the United States, working Eastern Standard Time hours.
  • Occasional U.S. travel for company events or leadership sessions.
  • Must have valid U.S. work authorization; no visa sponsorship is offered.
  • Must be a non-smoker or commit to cessation within 90 days of offer acceptance.
  • Experience with data, exception tracking, reporting, and trend analysis is preferred.
