Description

  • Design and develop high-throughput integrations with databases, data lakes, and data warehouses.
  • Build data-intensive systems that handle real-world production edge cases such as failovers, upgrades, large transactions, and schema evolution.
  • Own end-to-end reliability for integration services and replication pipelines.
  • Debug complex production issues using runtime diagnostics and observability tools.
  • Build and improve infrastructure and operational tooling to increase reliability and reduce incident response time.
  • Write clear internal and external documentation.
  • Participate in the on-call rotation.
  • Work directly with customers to understand integration requirements and product gaps.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to improve operational efficiency.
  • Lead technical discussions and influence product roadmaps.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of industry experience building data-intensive software solutions.
  • Proficiency in Go, or systems programming experience with willingness to ramp up quickly in Go.
  • Cloud-native experience deploying and operating services on at least one major cloud platform (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
  • Practical experience with Kubernetes.
  • Strong problem-solving ability and production debugging skills.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills for design docs, code reviews, technical discussions, customer calls, and incident response.
  • Experience with database replication technologies such as CDC or logical replication (preferred).
  • Experience with durable execution frameworks such as Temporal (preferred).
  • Experience with data formats and protocols such as Avro, Parquet, or Protobuf (preferred).
  • Experience with modern data processing frameworks such as Kafka, Spark, or Flink (preferred).
  • Experience maintaining or contributing to open-source software (preferred).
