Description

  • Understand the real-time analytics and cloud database markets, including competition and technology trends.
  • Engage with the open-source user community and ClickHouse Cloud customers to identify current and future use cases.
  • Distill and prioritize feature requests and issues into clear product priorities.
  • Work with engineering teams to scope and refine solutions for customer problems in the core database and cloud products.
  • Set measurable goals for customer success and use data-driven approaches to validate new capabilities.
  • Track market and competitive developments to identify roadmap opportunities and product improvements.
  • Work with partners to grow ClickHouse awareness and visibility.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of data engineering markets, including data warehousing, data analytics, data science, business intelligence, and observability.
  • Strong vision for where these markets are headed and what it takes to lead in them.
  • Previous experience with ClickHouse or a highly related OLAP technology at a deeply technical level.
  • Expert SQL skills.
  • Previous experience with open-source projects, ideally as a product manager.
  • Passion for building enterprise capabilities that are powerful yet easy to use.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfort with public speaking at meetups, conferences, and webinars.
  • Ability to influence multiple stakeholders without direct authority.
  • Comfort working with ambiguity and adapting based on business needs.
  • Ability and desire to work with customers or community members and provide technical guidance during POCs.
  • Previous contributions to open-source projects are a plus.
  • Engineering experience, ideally in distributed/cloud systems in C++, is a plus.
  • Experience working remotely in a global, distributed organization is a plus.
  • This position can be remote anywhere within the Netherlands.
