Description

Architect and build a robust, scalable, highly available distributed infrastructure.
Build a cloud-native platform on public cloud and automate cloud resource management.
Design, deploy, and maintain infrastructure for the ClickHouse Cloud data plane end to end.
Work closely with the core database development team and security team to support the SaaS offering.
Develop routing and traffic components to improve cloud service reliability and scalability.
Improve system availability by applying distributed systems and infrastructure best practices.
Design and build security components and tooling, including firewalls, PKI, certificates, and zero-trust networking.
Improve infrastructure performance and cost efficiency.

Requirements

5+ years of relevant software development experience building and operating scalable, fault-tolerant distributed systems.
Experience programming in Go, C/C++, Java, or another object-oriented language.
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
Experience developing cloud infrastructure services, preferably with Kubernetes.
Experience building cloud-native edge or service mesh services, preferably with Envoy and Istio.
Experience leading and shipping large technical projects with multiple experienced engineers.
Understanding of network topologies, protocols, and security principles, including VPNs, firewalls, and load balancers.
Knowledge of cloud security best practices, including encryption, access controls, and compliance standards such as SOC2 and GDPR.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a global team.
Strong problem-solving ability and solid production debugging skills.

Passion for efficiency, availability, scalability, and data governance.

Typical starting salary of $141,000-$208,000 USD in the US, or $157,000-$230,000 USD in US premium markets.
