Description

  • Design and develop a highly available, scalable, and secure ClickHouse Cloud platform tailored for regulated and mission-critical environments.
  • Build deployment automation for cloud, hybrid, and on‑prem systems, including disconnected/airgapped environments.
  • Collaborate with Dataplane, ClickHouse Core, Security, and Infrastructure teams to ensure software parity with existing cloud infrastructure and meet compliance requirements.
  • Solve scaling, reliability, and performance challenges specific to regulated environments and sensitive workloads.
  • Design and deploy ClickHouse Cloud on Kubernetes and other containerized platforms ensuring high availability, replication, and backup.
  • Develop and maintain Helm charts, operators, and Kubernetes manifests for database lifecycle management.
  • Implement repeatable automation to build, scale, and troubleshoot infrastructure components across diverse deployment models.
  • Optimize ClickHouse database performance and storage architecture for on‑prem, hybrid, and government cloud deployments.
  • Integrate secure authentication, encryption, and access control mechanisms and support security/compliance audits.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for system architecture, security controls, compliance evidence, and operational runbooks; troubleshoot and resolve production performance and operational issues.

Requirements

  • U.S. Permanent Resident or U.S. Citizen required (per U.S. federal contract requirements).
  • 6+ years of relevant software development industry experience building and operating scalable, fault‑tolerant, distributed systems.
  • Experience with ClickHouse or relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Cassandra) databases.
  • Proficiency with Kubernetes tools and ecosystem: Helm, Kustomize, operators, and service mesh technologies (e.g., Istio).
  • Experience with secure, regulated, or restricted network environments, including airgapped/disconnected architectures (strong plus).
  • Hands‑on experience with containerized deployments (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift) in enterprise or regulated environments.
  • Experience with cloud platforms and government cloud variants (AWS, Azure, GCP, AWS GovCloud, Azure Government) or equivalent on‑prem platforms.
  • Proficiency in programming/scripting for automation and integration, especially Go or Python.
  • Experience with infrastructure automation and CI/CD tooling such as Terraform, Ansible, and pipeline systems.
  • Familiarity with compliance and security frameworks (NIST, FedRAMP, Protected B, IRAP) and demonstrated production debugging and cross‑team communication skills.

  • Typical U.S. Premium Market starting salary range (e.g., SF Bay Area, NYC): $157,000 — $230,000 USD.
