Description

  • Take part in shaping the roadmap for the Product Metrics team.
  • Work with the team to deliver new features and iterate on them.
  • Design, build, operate, and maintain business-critical petabyte-scale systems.
  • Own the performance, reliability, availability, and cost-efficiency of Product Metrics services.
  • Mentor and support other team members and participate in design discussions.
  • Collaborate with engineering teammates in a fully remote environment.
  • Participate in the on-call rotation and own the services you run.
  • Gather and process data for internal billing and accounting systems and customer-facing dashboards.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of relevant software development experience building and operating scalable, fault-tolerant, distributed systems.
  • 2+ years of software application development experience using Golang.
  • Experience with at least one major cloud provider such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Experience storing, shipping, and retrieving large volumes of data efficiently using technologies such as ClickHouse.
  • Experience with technologies such as Kubernetes, Helm, ArgoCD, and Temporal, as well as infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform.
  • Strong initiative, responsibility, ownership, and accountability.
  • Strong problem-solving mindset and solid production debugging skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within and across engineering teams in a fully remote environment.
  • Ability to break down complex challenges, deliver MVPs, and iterate based on data and feedback.
  • Experience with ClickHouse is a bonus.
  • Experience writing Kubernetes operators or controllers is a bonus.
