Description

  • Establish project-controls standards, calendars, coding structures, reporting requirements, and governance practices across the portfolio.
  • Oversee budgets, commitments, actual costs, accruals, cash-flow forecasts, contingency, trends, and estimate-at-completion reporting.
  • Align cost and schedule data with Scheduling, validate progress, and maintain consistent milestones and forecasting assumptions.
  • Review contractor and vendor pay applications, change orders, and cost-to-complete reporting with PMO, Finance, and Commercial Operations.
  • Manage change-control and trend processes, including scope movement, pricing, approvals, contingency use, and exposure tracking.
  • Maintain portfolio risk and opportunity registers, facilitate reviews, and track mitigation actions to closure.
  • Produce stage-gate, monthly, and executive reports on performance, forecasts, assumptions, risks, and decisions needed.
  • Maintain PMIS data quality and workflows for budgets, commitments, changes, forecasts, reporting, and integrations.
  • Review contractor and consultant controls deliverables, resolve gaps, and escalate material issues.
  • Lead project-controls resources and support claims avoidance and dispute analysis through accurate cost and change records.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, finance, business, or a related field; equivalent education and experience considered.
  • 7+ years of progressive project-controls experience supporting large capital construction programs.
  • Experience with cost control, forecasting, change management, risk management, progress measurement, and executive reporting.
  • Experience reviewing contractor pay applications, change orders, and cost-to-complete reports.
  • Working knowledge of construction contracts and delivery models, including design-build, GMP, and lump-sum structures.
  • Experience with PMIS, cost, schedule, and reporting tools such as Oracle Primavera Cloud, Unifier, Primavera P6, or NetSuite.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, including reconciling conflicting information and presenting risks and assumptions to leadership.
  • Ability to travel to project sites, meet critical reporting deadlines, and qualify for CleanSpark vehicle insurance.
  • Owner-side controls experience across multi-project or multi-site capital portfolios preferred.
  • Experience with hyperscale data centers, high-performance computing, or other mission-critical construction programs preferred.
