Description

  • Complete, submit, and track manufacturer Patient Assistance Program (PAP) applications.
  • Use the Med Data platform to manage application workflows.
  • Collect and verify required patient documentation before submission, including income and consent forms.
  • Communicate with patients to request documents and provide application status updates.
  • Coordinate with providers and prescribers to obtain signatures, authorizations, and prescription documentation.
  • Manage an active pipeline of approximately 120 applications and renewals per month.
  • Track refill schedules, pickup dates, and medication renewal timelines to prevent treatment interruptions.
  • Coordinate with pharmacy hubs and care teams on medication shipments and deliveries.
  • Maintain accurate records and organize documentation in NextGen, Med Data, and future eClinicalWorks systems.
  • Ensure compliance with OSV, FTCA, and applicable healthcare regulations.

Requirements

  • Active Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential is required.
  • Experience working in a healthcare setting is required.
  • Proficiency with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems is required.
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology is required.
  • Excellent organizational and documentation skills are required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and workflows simultaneously is required.
  • Comfort working independently in a remote environment is required.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to patient advocacy are required.
  • Experience with NextGen EHR is preferred.
  • Willingness to train and transition to eClinicalWorks is preferred.
  • Experience with Patient Assistance Programs (PAP) is preferred.
  • Familiarity with pharmacy operations, care coordination, or prior authorization workflows is preferred.
  • Experience working with underserved patient populations is preferred.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills are preferred.
  • Experience using medical interpretation or translation services is preferred.
