Description

  • Work with implementation consultants to determine whether customer needs should be handled through configuration, new functionality, or custom code.
  • Partner with the SaaS platform development team to define new functionality before go-live.
  • Own end-to-end technical onboarding for new customers, including legacy data extraction, mapping, transformation, staging, and production cutover.
  • Translate how local government customers operate into product configuration for case types, workflows, fees, templates, and permissions.
  • Write migration transformations, integration adapters, and extraction tooling for legacy systems.
  • Run technical coordination with customer stakeholders, including IT, GIS, security, and SSO teams.
  • Turn manual workaround work into product specs and tooling improvements.
  • Build the FDE playbook, including runbooks, mapping templates, extraction scripts, and estimation models.
  • Use AI coding agents as part of implementation work.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a software engineer.
  • At least 2 years in a customer-facing deployment role such as FDE, solutions architect, solutions engineer, or implementation engineer writing production code.
  • Strong understanding of LLMs and agentic automations.
  • Strong SQL and data migration experience, including working with undocumented legacy schemas and audit trails.
  • Strong TypeScript skills and comfort with Python for extraction tooling.
  • Experience with integrations such as SSO (SAML/OIDC), REST/webhooks, and ideally GIS/parcel data and payments.
  • Comfort working directly with non-technical government customers.
  • Ability to judge when work should be bespoke versus turned into repeatable tooling.
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites as needed.
  • Govtech, regtech, or other compliance-heavy SaaS experience preferred.
  • Palantir/Scale/Retool-style FDE background preferred.
  • Experience being the first hire in a function and building the playbook preferred.
  • Heavy use of AI coding agents in delivery work preferred.
