Description

  • Build and oversee the deployment and operation of technology architecture, solutions, and software for structured and unstructured data from internal and external sources.
  • Design processes and structures to channel data from multiple inputs and store it across cloud, local database, and other storage environments as needed.
  • Develop tools and programming to cleanse, organize, transform, and maintain data structures and data integrity through automation.
  • Define conceptual design, logical database design, taxonomy, data storage, capacity planning, external data interfaces, loading plans, maintenance plans, and security policies for the data pipeline.
  • Gather technical requirements and ensure quality and consistency of data architecture across systems.
  • Collaborate closely with Implementation, Product Management, Architects, technical leads, Software Engineers, BI Developers, and Quality Engineers.
  • Develop secure, high-quality production code and review and debug code written by others.
  • Oversee live SaaS operations by monitoring KPIs and identifying opportunities and threats.
  • Ensure operational readiness of services and meet reliability, availability, and performance commitments to customers.
  • Implement multi-tenant systems with a focus on isolation and security.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
  • Expertise in data architecture and business intelligence systems, including ELT development, data transformation, data modeling, report design/development, and BI dashboard design/development.
  • Strong programming skills in Python or Java.
  • Strong relational database skills, including database design, scalability, and SQL.
  • Experience querying and extracting data from databases.
  • Knowledge of ETL, data structures, metadata, and workflow management concepts.
  • Experience solving complex data and technology problems.
  • Excellent communication skills for explaining data-driven insights and technical approaches.
  • B.S. in computer science, engineering, or a related degree.
  • Experience with Agile software development methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment with enterprise-class software releases and SaaS product life cycles.
  • Strong analytical skills, detailed-oriented mindset, and ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, team-oriented environment.
  • Experience using bug tracking tools such as JIRA.
  • Must be comfortable working remotely with occasional travel.
  • Preferred experience working in AWS.
  • Passion for Agile methodology.
  • Experience in healthcare.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA, SOC, and HITRUST requirements.
