Description

  • Lead the technical direction for a multidisciplinary team of data scientists and data engineers.
  • Design, build, and maintain data products and data solutions.
  • Participate in architecture and design discussions with internal and client stakeholders.
  • Work with strategy, customer experience, product, and program management teams to deliver solutions.
  • Collaborate with clients across the UK, EU, and Latin America to align technical approaches.
  • Visit European clients during the year to bootstrap projects and strengthen relationships.
  • Ensure solutions follow security and performance best practices.
  • Create and maintain client-required design and technical documentation.
  • Translate business requirements into viable technical solutions and appropriate frameworks.
  • Guarantee a stable and productive development environment.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience with the Databricks data platform.
  • Strong experience in architecture design and technical leadership.
  • Experience designing, developing, and deploying pipelines, data lakes, data meshes, and other data products.
  • Experience translating business problems into data solutions for BI, analytics, deterministic/statistical models, and machine learning.
  • Strong experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
  • Experience identifying and prioritizing non-functional requirements, technical pain points, and client/environment constraints.
  • Experience scaling data workloads using Hadoop and Spark.
  • Experience with CI/CD and MLOps pipelines.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code.
  • Experience presenting data solutions to non-technical audiences and supporting pre-sales activities.
  • Ability to create proof of concepts and code complex mechanisms, preferably in Python.
  • Knowledge of non-functional requirements such as performance, security, privacy, and GDPR is preferred.
  • Knowledge of unit, integration, and end-to-end testing is preferred.
  • Willingness to work with different technologies and learn continuously.
  • Ability to share knowledge with more junior team members.
