Description

  • Conduct exploratory data analysis and statistical profiling to identify trends and insights from data.
  • Perform feature engineering for time-series forecasting and translate business rules into feature engineering pipelines.
  • Extract, transform, and prepare data from relational databases such as RDS, Oracle, and PostgreSQL into analytics-ready formats.
  • Develop and maintain data ingestion and processing pipelines.
  • Build classical machine learning models for time-series forecasting, regression, and capacity or throughput modeling.
  • Evaluate model performance using metrics such as RMSE, MAE, and MAPE, and document results.
  • Create data visualizations and dashboards using Amazon QuickSight or equivalent BI tools.
  • Use the Python data stack, including pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, matplotlib, and seaborn, for analysis and manipulation.
  • Apply SHAP or other model explainability techniques to interpret model outputs.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and an AWS ProServe ML Specialist in a milestone-driven delivery model to ensure timely project completion.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in data engineering or applied data science roles, preferably on AWS.
  • Strong experience with exploratory data analysis, statistical profiling, and feature engineering for time-series forecasting.
  • Experience wrangling data from relational databases such as RDS, Oracle, and PostgreSQL into analytics-ready formats.
  • Strong understanding of classical machine learning techniques, including time-series forecasting and regression.
  • Familiarity with model evaluation metrics such as RMSE, MAE, and MAPE, and with documenting performance results.
  • Experience building data visualizations and dashboards using Amazon QuickSight or equivalent BI tools.
  • Hands-on experience with Amazon SageMaker, including training, evaluation, and Clarify.
  • Proficiency with the Python data stack, including pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, matplotlib, and seaborn.
  • Working knowledge of SQL and dimensional modeling.
  • Familiarity with SHAP or other model explainability techniques is a plus.
  • AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner is expected.
  • AWS Certified Data Engineer – Associate is expected.
  • AWS Certified Machine Learning – Associate or AWS Certified Machine Learning – Specialty is expected.
