Description

  • Support the Engineering Manager in day-to-day responsibilities.
  • Drive delivery execution by managing plans, dependencies, blockers, and risks to meet commitments.
  • Ensure engineering standards are applied, including definition of done, testing strategy, code quality, documentation, and operational readiness.
  • Provide clear engineering updates to stakeholders and escalate issues promptly when needed.
  • Enable team execution without direct line management by supporting onboarding, coaching engineers and tech leads, and sharing best practices.
  • Document decisions, runbooks, and architectural choices to ensure knowledge transfer and smooth handover at the end of engagement.
  • Partner with Product and Business stakeholders to identify high-value agentic AI use cases and define technical objectives and success criteria.
  • Design agentic architectures and implement production patterns for prompt/versioning, evaluation, regression testing, feature flags, canary releases, and monitoring.
  • Engineer resilient, secure AI services with fallbacks, retries, circuit breakers, safe tool execution, sandboxing, secrets management, and guardrails.
  • Own production operations for models and agentic services, including deployment, scaling, observability, incident response, SLOs, and post-mortems.

Requirements

  • Proven engineering leadership delivering data and ML products in production with scalability, reliability, and security.
  • Strong understanding of modern LLM and agentic patterns such as RAG, embeddings, tool-calling/function execution, memory, evaluation, and tracing.
  • Excellent software engineering foundation in architecture, microservices, API design, testing, and CI/CD.
  • Cloud experience, ideally with Azure.
  • Hands-on experience with MLOps/LLMOps, including monitoring, deployment, governance, cost and latency optimization, and observability.
  • Solid data engineering knowledge, including pipelines, orchestration, and data quality.
  • Experience with SRE practices such as SLOs, incident response, and runbooks.
  • Servant leadership mindset with strong stakeholder alignment skills.
  • Product mindset with a focus on measurement, iteration, and prioritization.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical topics clearly and operate effectively in ambiguity.
  • Experience across software, data, and ML domains, with people management experience as a plus but not required.
  • Demonstrated experience shipping ML or LLM solutions under real constraints such as security, cost, performance, and operations.
