Description

  • Partner with the Senior Architect to define and refine the product architecture for scalability, resilience, and long-term maintainability.
  • Provide deep technical guidance on system design, integration approaches, and modernization pathways.
  • Work across multiple engineering teams to align engineering patterns, shared components, and platform-level solutions.
  • Design and deliver proof-of-concepts that explore new technologies, validate architectural patterns, and reduce risk on major initiatives.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering leadership to identify innovation opportunities and support rapid experimentation.
  • Serve as a technical resource across engineering teams, guiding senior engineers and raising overall engineering quality.
  • Support teams in adopting new architectural standards, modern engineering practices, and advanced tooling.
  • Build reusable patterns, frameworks, automation, and reference implementations to improve engineering velocity.
  • Write high-quality, maintainable code and contribute to critical components and architectural spikes.
  • Lead efforts to refactor, modernize, or decouple legacy systems to support future technical strategy.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of software engineering experience, including several years at the senior or staff level.
  • Strong experience with C#, .NET Framework, and .NET Core.
  • Experience with ASP.NET MVC, ASP.NET Web API, LINQ, Entity Framework, and familiarity with WCF.
  • AI project experience is required.
  • Deep experience in cloud architectures, ideally Microsoft Azure, including compute, storage, networking, messaging, and security.
  • Demonstrated success leading cross-team engineering initiatives or architectural programs.
  • Hands-on experience with web application development, API design, and secure application practices.
  • Experience implementing authentication and authorization with OIDC, OAuth, SAML, and SSO.
  • Experience with UI development using jQuery and SPA frameworks.
  • Proficiency developing and consuming distributed systems and integrating large-scale enterprise applications.
  • Hands-on experience with containerization using Docker and modern deployment approaches.
  • Strong database skills, including SQL Server optimization and data modeling.
  • Experience designing, delivering, and validating PoCs that inform major technical decisions.
  • Strong knowledge of production system requirements, including scalability, observability, performance, and operational excellence.
  • Extensive experience modernizing legacy systems in enterprise environments.
  • Comfort using git and modern development workflows such as PRs, branching, and continuous integration.
  • Experience in enterprise platform architecture or platform engineering, preferred.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform, Bicep, and ARM, preferred.
  • Experience coordinating architecture across multiple teams, preferred.
  • Prior work in compliance-focused or enterprise-scale environments, preferred.
  • Experience with customer interaction, including responding to customer RFIs and meeting requests, preferred.
