Description

  • Plan and execute manual and automated testing for backend applications, including APIs and messaging systems.
  • Own quality processes for the squad, including bug management, correction priority, and root cause analysis.
  • Validate functional and non-functional requirements for user stories.
  • Participate in story refinement with the product and delivery team.
  • Collaborate directly with the client and work within agile ceremonies and task management practices.
  • Define and apply test strategies aligned to the test pyramid for backend applications.
  • Design and run performance tests and regression, end-to-end, and mutation testing as needed.
  • Support continuous testing practices within CI/CD pipelines.
  • Work with cloud-based test environments and local infrastructure tools such as Docker, Podman, and LocalStack.
  • Apply artificial intelligence in testing-related cases and contribute relevant experience from prior work.

Requirements

  • Experience with backend testing for applications using messaging systems such as SQS, SNS, and Kafka.
  • Knowledge of test planning for both automated and manual testing.
  • Understanding of the test pyramid concept.
  • Experience automating tests with .NET and Mockito for messaging, and Rest-assured for REST APIs.
  • Experience with performance testing using JMeter.
  • Knowledge of continuous testing in CI/CD environments.
  • Experience with mutation, end-to-end, and regression testing.
  • Knowledge of cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, GCP, or OCI.
  • Experience with Docker and/or Podman, plus LocalStack.
  • Hands-on experience with artificial intelligence, including practical use cases.
  • Experience in financial, banking, or insurance contexts is a plus.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies, ceremonies, and task management is required.
