Description

  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable data pipelines across the Bronze, Silver, and Gold layers in Databricks.
  • Build and manage ETL/ELT workflows using Azure Databricks and Azure Data Factory.
  • Use generative AI tools to improve productivity, quality, and performance in pipeline development.
  • Ensure data integrity, consistency, and performance in the Delta Lakehouse environment.
  • Work with analysts and business teams to build dimensional and aggregated data models for BI and analytics.
  • Develop APIs and integrations to exchange data between internal and external systems, including Oracle and SQL Server.
  • Collaborate with BI, Data Science, and business teams while applying data engineering and governance best practices.
  • Support the full data lifecycle and the core data platform with a focus on reliability and scalability.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Data Engineer with focus on the Azure ecosystem.
  • Strong knowledge of Azure Databricks, including Spark, PySpark, and Spark SQL.
  • Experience with Azure Data Factory for pipeline orchestration.
  • Strong SQL and Python skills, including Pandas and PySpark.
  • Solid knowledge of ETL/ELT, Medallion architecture, and Delta Lake.
  • Experience in data modeling, including dimensional and relational modeling.
  • Experience with relational databases such as Oracle and SQL Server.
  • Preferred experience with dimensional modeling using the Kimball methodology in the Gold layer.
  • Preferred knowledge of data governance and catalog tools such as Azure Purview.
  • Preferred experience with CI/CD for data, such as Azure DevOps.
  • Preferred experience with streaming data technologies such as Spark Structured Streaming or Event Hubs.
  • Preferred certifications such as DP-203 or Databricks.
