Description

  • Oversee the reliability, performance, and security of critical production services from design through deployment.
  • Collaborate with development, QA, and product teams to build and maintain resilient infrastructure and deployment pipelines.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and software deployments using Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD tools.
  • Participate in and improve the 24×7 on-call process, including incident troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
  • Document and standardize processes and configurations to improve team-wide consistency and knowledge sharing.
  • Guide projects from design through production support.
  • Mentor junior engineers in DevOps best practices.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Software Engineering roles with increasing responsibility in system design and operations.
  • Extensive production experience with Docker and Kubernetes, including cluster management and scaling.
  • Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible or Puppet.
  • Strong coding and scripting skills in Python, Go, or Ruby for automation.
  • Deep knowledge of AWS and/or GCP and experience operating cloud infrastructure at scale.
  • Solid understanding of networking and security fundamentals in cloud and on-prem environments.
  • Experience setting up and tuning monitoring and alerting systems such as Prometheus and Grafana.
  • Strong understanding of SRE practices including SLIs, SLOs, and incident management.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills with a track record of effective collaboration.
  • Kafka experience (preferred).
  • MySQL/Postgres experience (preferred).
  • Redis experience (preferred).
  • Elasticsearch experience (preferred).
