Description

  • Own and operate Orca’s FedRAMP environments across AWS GovCloud, AWS commercial regions, Azure Government, Azure Commercial, and GCP.
  • Write infrastructure code and establish engineering standards using Terraform, Kubernetes, Helm, CI/CD, secrets management, hardened images, and centralized logging.
  • Design automation for continuous configuration validation, drift detection, evidence collection, and inventory accuracy.
  • Own production monitoring, health, and incident response for the federal environment.
  • Run continuous monitoring, including vulnerability scanning, POA&M management, inventory, and reporting.
  • Own authorization artifacts such as the SSP, boundary diagrams, control implementations, and OSCAL migration.
  • Lead boundary-change assessments, notification processes, annual assessments, and 3PAO engagements.
  • Represent Orca in technical discussions with federal agencies, contractors, prospects, assessors, sales, and customer success teams.
  • Translate federal security requirements into buildable work for the Israel-based R&D organization.
  • Grow a small US-based infrastructure team while remaining hands-on with the systems.

Requirements

  • Experience working inside a FedRAMP-authorized system, including authorization boundaries, significant changes, and 3PAO requirements.
  • 5+ years of DevOps, SRE, or cloud infrastructure experience with production ownership.
  • Deep AWS experience, including hands-on AWS GovCloud knowledge.
  • Production Kubernetes experience, including operations, debugging, and upgrades.
  • 3+ years of Terraform and infrastructure-as-code experience at scale.
  • Automation experience with Python or an equivalent programming language.
  • Fluency in NIST SP 800-53 Rev. 5 and its technical implementations.
  • Vulnerability management experience in a regulated environment.
  • Excellent written and spoken English with the ability to communicate with federal security teams.
  • US residence and eligibility for required federal personnel screening.
  • Availability for meaningful working-hour overlap with an Israel-based R&D organization.
  • Preferred: FedRAMP 20x, OSCAL, KSI validation, DoD IL4/IL5, StateRAMP, CMMC, or IRAP experience.
  • Preferred: Experience growing an infrastructure team or using compliance tools such as Xacta, Paramify, RegScale, or Vanta.
  • Preferred: Security product or cloud-native security platform background; bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or equivalent experience.
