Description

  • Own a product area end-to-end, from identifying opportunities and framing problems to setting design direction and shipping the experience.
  • Design complex, multi-step product flows for multiple user types while balancing creator and member needs.
  • Prototype and test ideas quickly using AI-assisted tools and code-generation workflows.
  • Influence product strategy by contributing to roadmap discussions and identifying opportunities across the product.
  • Drive interaction design, visual quality, and polished execution for the assigned product area.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and design engineers to deliver working, shippable experiences.
  • Raise the design bar through feedback, shared frameworks, and high-quality output.
  • Partner with design leadership and other leads across the product surface.
  • Support and elevate other designers as the team grows.

Requirements

  • 5–7+ years of product design experience.
  • A portfolio demonstrating systems-level thinking, shipped 0→1 work, complex multi-user flows, and influence on product direction.
  • Experience operating as the most senior designer on a product area and owning outcomes with limited guidance.
  • Strong prototyping skills, including the ability to build clickable, realistic prototypes independently.
  • Proficiency in Figma for high-fidelity design and collaboration.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for async, distributed teamwork.
  • Comfort designing in ambiguity and building conviction through iteration.
  • An active AI workflow already integrated into your design process.
  • Strong alignment with Circle’s values.
  • Fluency in English at CEFR C2 / ILR Level 5.
  • Bonus: prior use of AI-assisted prototyping tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, v0, or Lovable.
