Description

  • Contribute to and extend internal AI platforms including Archimedes, Bosun, and easyRAG.
  • Build reusable platform capabilities such as APIs, SDKs, templates, and shared services.
  • Prototype and productionize new AI capabilities with senior engineers.
  • Apply and help refine Chime’s golden path patterns for LLM usage.
  • Build standardized, observable, and governed AI assistants and workflows.
  • Learn and apply evaluation, observability, and cost-management practices for AI systems.
  • Partner with Security, Risk, and Legal to implement responsible AI guardrails.
  • Collaborate with engineers across Chime to embed AI into internal tools and workflows.

Requirements

  • Experience as a software engineer shipping production-quality features in a distributed system or platform environment.
  • Hands-on experience with LLMs or ML services, or strong curiosity and ability to ramp quickly into AI tooling.
  • Solid coding skills in at least one of Python, Go, or TypeScript/JavaScript.
  • Comfort working across services, CLIs, and internal tooling.
  • Emerging platform mindset focused on reuse and building for multiple consumers.
  • Familiarity with or eagerness to learn evaluation, prompt and version management, observability, cost control, safety, and data privacy.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to explain technical tradeoffs to teammates and cross-functional partners.

  • Base salary range of $133,000 to $184,000.
