Description

  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting.
  • Oversee preparation of financial statements, including the P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.
  • Manage all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and billing.
  • Establish and maintain internal controls to protect company assets and support audit readiness.
  • Lead annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and long-range financial planning processes.
  • Develop financial models, KPI dashboards, and reporting tools to support executive decision-making.
  • Analyze revenue, margins, cost drivers, and other financial performance metrics to provide actionable insights.
  • Partner with department leaders to improve financial accountability and performance across states, regions, and client accounts.
  • Monitor cash flow, working capital, and treasury functions.
  • Support strategic initiatives such as pricing, service line profitability, market expansion, and M&A analysis.
  • Oversee financial systems, reporting infrastructure, and process improvements to improve scalability.
  • Lead, develop, and manage finance and accounting team members, including outsourced vendors and partners.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA preferred; MBA preferred.
  • 10–15+ years of progressive experience in accounting and finance roles, including controllership and FP&A responsibilities.
  • Experience in professional services, multi-entity, or high-growth environments preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience leading financial operations and strategic finance initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of advanced accounting principles, financial reporting, and GAAP compliance.
  • Experience with financial planning and analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, and modeling.
  • Familiarity with financial systems and tools such as Sage Intacct, QuickBooks, and BI/reporting platforms.
  • Knowledge of revenue recognition, internal controls, and audit processes.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong English grammar, communication, listening, and customer empathy skills.
  • Ability to align with Charter Impact’s mission, vision, and core values, work independently, adapt quickly to change, and identify and correct errors.
  • Experience with QuickBooks Online, Sage Intacct or similar platforms, Power BI or Tableau, and ADP, Paychex, or Intuit payroll systems is a plus.
  • Must be based in AZ, CA, CO, FL, ID, IL, MI, NC, NV, OR, SD, TN, TX, UT, or WA.

  • Base salary of $160,000–$180,000 per year with the opportunity for an annual discretionary bonus.
