Description

  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships through consistent communication to meet short-term and long-term needs.
  • Manage customer expectations and deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Work with the implementation team to support successful opportunities and ensure pricing accuracy.
  • Participate in rate matrix reviews to support profitability and competitiveness for key accounts.
  • Prepare rate calculations, reports, and customer presentations for large-spend bids.
  • Ensure customer commitments are met by coordinating with internal teams and completing operational tasks as needed.
  • Identify, manage, and develop new business relationships in the target market.
  • Support the Customer Service Manager in delivering transportation service solutions.
  • Maintain a database of clients, prospects, partners, and vendors.
  • Monitor market conditions, product innovations, and competitor activity.
  • Prepare sales budgets, reports, sales records, and expense account filings.
  • Consult with clients to resolve problems and provide ongoing support.
  • Coordinate prospect, sales, and customer meetings with the VP of Sales/CS.

Requirements

  • Proven track record in account management, including setting appointments, presenting to customers, pricing, proposals, and closing deals.
  • 2+ years of sales and account management experience in the transportation and logistics field is preferred.
  • A recent college or university degree in Marketing or a business-related field is required.
  • Previous experience in an analyst role or pricing function is an asset.
  • Ability to understand business processing requirements using technology and develop practical solutions.
  • Experience in B2B sales involving complex deals is an asset.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the sales planning process.
  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills, with strong interpersonal and customer relation skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills with proven closing ability.
  • Ability to work independently with little or no supervision and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
