Description

  • Collaborate with teammates and cross-functional teams to design innovative services and features for the core product.
  • Develop robust tools and services to improve the image build system as it scales.
  • Build and improve tooling and infrastructure for the Containers team.
  • Maintain product quality standards for Chainguard Images.
  • Guide technical decisions within the team.
  • Work closely with team members to deliver customer value.
  • Support the development of production-ready builds for open source software.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in software development, including data structures, algorithms, compilers, Makefiles, and toolchains.
  • Expertise with containers, container registries, Docker, Kubernetes, and the broader Kubernetes ecosystem.
  • Experience with Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code tools, including creating reusable modules and organizing resources logically.
  • Experience writing services or tools in Go.
  • Strong communication skills and proficiency in English.
  • Ability to work autonomously, take initiative, and seek help proactively when needed.
  • Experience as an author and/or contributor to open-source projects is a nice to have.

  • Base salary range of $157,000 to $184,000 USD.
