Description

  • Own and evolve data models, pipelines, metric definitions, semantic layers, and self-service reporting.
  • Design, build, and maintain scalable data transformations using dbt and modern analytics-engineering practices.
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Build dashboards, analytical tools, and enablement materials for self-service data use.
  • Own data products through discovery, implementation, testing, documentation, deployment, monitoring, governance, and iteration.
  • Improve ELT reliability, observability, performance, integrations, and data quality.
  • Establish standards for modeling, testing, documentation, lineage, governance, access controls, and metric consistency.
  • Triage data and technical issues, identify root causes, and drive durable resolutions.
  • Mentor analytics teammates through technical guidance, code reviews, and knowledge sharing.
  • Shape the Analytics roadmap through automation, process improvements, and scalable platform investments.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, business intelligence engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience leading complex, cross-functional data initiatives from ambiguous definition through adoption and measurable impact.
  • Advanced SQL skills and experience building and operating analytical models and pipelines.
  • Strong hands-on experience with dbt, including testing, version control, documentation, orchestration, observability, and data quality management.
  • Experience with ELT and activation tools such as Fivetran and Hightouch or comparable technologies.
  • Experience with cloud data platforms; Google Cloud Platform and BigQuery experience is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with BI and semantic-layer tools such as Omni, Looker, Sigma, Tableau, Mode, or Hex; Omni experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of dimensional modeling, metric governance, lineage, access controls, and trusted sources of truth.
  • Practical experience using AI in analytics, engineering, data, or business workflows.
  • Experience mentoring technical teammates, plus strong communication, stakeholder-management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently in ambiguous, fast-moving environments; startup or high-growth experience is preferred.
  • Python or another quantitative programming language is a plus.

  • Base salary of $140,000–$165,000 USD.
