Description

Own end-to-end product features from database and backend services through the customer-facing user interface.
Turn ambiguous product needs into clear written specs with scope, edge cases, and acceptance criteria.
Use AI-assisted development tools to guide implementation, generate tests, prepare pull requests, and review output critically.
Ship small, incremental changes behind feature flags and iterate based on customer feedback and production behavior.
Write tests, handle failure cases, and maintain a high quality bar for correctness and reliability.
Collaborate directly with product to clarify requirements, surface tradeoffs, and drive work to completion.
Contribute to shared engineering documentation such as repo context files, prompt templates, decision records, and review checklists.
Monitor production behavior, address issues, and improve reliability and maintainability over time.

Requirements

3 to 5 years of professional software engineering experience shipping production web applications.
Strong bias for action and comfort breaking large problems into shippable pieces.
High ownership and ability to drive requirements to closure without step-by-step management.
Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Copilot, Cursor, or similar tools.
Comfort working across the stack, including a modern front-end framework such as React with TypeScript and backend services.
Strong written communication for specs, design notes, and PR descriptions.
Solid understanding of HTTP and REST, relational databases and SQL, API design, and testing practices.
Preferred: Experience working spec-first or in a heavily AI-assisted workflow on a real team.
Preferred: Experience with payments, fintech, or systems requiring correctness, auditability, and reliability.
Preferred: Experience building identity verification or fraud detection systems such as identity proofing, verification, risk signals, or real-time fraud decisioning.
Preferred: Familiarity with AWS, GitHub Actions, and CI quality gates such as automated testing, security scanning, and secret detection.
Preferred: Experience integrating with third-party or partner APIs.
Preferred: Exposure to real estate, title, escrow, or closing workflows.
