Description

Own end-to-end features from database to user interface across the customer-facing web app, APIs, partner integrations, and operational workflows.
Write clear, spec-first documentation that defines the problem, scope, edge cases, and acceptance criteria for implementation.
Use AI-assisted development tools to guide implementation, generate tests, prepare pull requests, and review generated code critically.
Break ambiguous product requests into shippable pieces, clarify requirements with product, and drive work to completion.
Ship small, iterative changes behind feature flags and monitor production behavior after release.
Write tests, account for failure cases, and maintain a high quality bar for correctness and reliability.
Contribute to shared team knowledge through repo context files, prompt templates, decision records, and review checklists.
Improve reliability, maintainability, and operational quality of the codebase while delivering customer-impacting features.

Requirements

3 to 5 years of professional software engineering experience shipping production web applications.
Comfort with ambiguity and a strong bias for action in turning large problems into shippable pieces.
High ownership and ability to drive a requirement to closure without close management.
Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Copilot, Cursor, or similar tools.
Ability to review AI-generated code, identify issues, and own the final output.
Experience with a modern front-end framework such as React with TypeScript and backend services.
Strong written communication for specs, design notes, and PR descriptions.
Solid fundamentals in HTTP and REST, relational databases and SQL, API design, and testing practices.
Preferred: experience working spec-first or in a heavily AI-assisted workflow on a real team.
Preferred: experience in payments, fintech, identity verification, fraud detection, or real estate/title/escrow workflows.
Preferred: familiarity with AWS, GitHub Actions, and CI quality gates such as automated testing, security scanning, and secret detection.
Preferred: experience integrating with third-party or partner APIs.
