Description

  • Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with Australian cybersecurity regulations and standards, including the Privacy Act, ASD Essential 8, and ISO 27001.
  • Manage third-party security risks and support internal governance processes.
  • Monitor security events, lead incident response efforts, and investigate potential threats.
  • Develop and enforce cybersecurity policies, procedures, and security awareness training.
  • Identify vulnerabilities, manage patching processes, and advise on secure infrastructure design.
  • Develop and maintain business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and prepare clear security reports for clients and stakeholders.
  • Support the implementation of security strategies aligned with industry standards and best practices.

Requirements

  • NV1 Security Clearance is required.
  • Strong background in cybersecurity with knowledge of Australian regulations, including the Privacy Act and ASD Essential 8.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CompTIA Security+.
  • Experience with security tools such as SIEM, firewalls, and cloud security platforms.
  • Experience in vulnerability management.
  • Ability to assess and address security risks and incidents.
  • Strong communication skills to explain complex security issues to non-technical teams.
  • Highly organized and meticulous in implementing security measures.
  • Commitment to staying current on cybersecurity trends and pursuing relevant certifications.
  • Familiarity with Australian cybersecurity frameworks and regulations.
  • Valid Vulnerable People / Working with Children Check (WWCC) and Police Check are required.
