Description

  • Own and prioritize a backlog for an assigned product surface.
  • Translate product intent into precise specifications that AI coding agents can execute.
  • Direct AI agents through implementation, testing, documentation, pull requests, CI, and production verification.
  • Critically review code diffs, agent summaries, claims, and supporting evidence.
  • Maintain repositories, branch protection, dependencies, environment variables, scheduled jobs, feature flags, and deployments.
  • Keep operator documentation and team rules accurate, current, and aligned with product changes.
  • Investigate production incidents using logs, metrics, databases, and documented preventive actions.
  • Measure product and operational outcomes before making claims, and maintain dated evidence.
  • Prepare concise, evidence-based recommendations for decisions requiring Product Owner approval.
  • Collaborate openly with teammates and create simple workflows that reduce friction for human reviewers.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of IT or software experience involving production systems, deployment, security, and operations.
  • 1+ year directing AI coding agents such as Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, or equivalent to ship production software.
  • 2+ years of product ownership or technical product management experience, including backlog ownership and specification writing.
  • Professional fluency with GitHub, pull requests, CI, branch protection, merge conflicts, a hosting platform such as Vercel, and a relational database such as Postgres.
  • Ability to read SQL, code diffs, system evidence, and production data critically without authoring the code.
  • Strong plain-English writing skills for specifications, operating rules, and executive recommendations.
  • Demonstrated verification discipline, accountability, independent judgment, attention to detail, and comfort escalating decisions outside your authority.
  • Collaborative, respectful, ethical, self-directed, and committed to continuous learning.
  • Preferred: experience with Next.js, React, Prisma, Postgres row-level security, OAuth, analytics warehouses, AI model evaluation, security, privacy, product marketing, IT training, or integration contracts.
  • Proficiency with Gmail, Google Docs, Slack, internal CBT Nuggets software, and an Apple laptop is preferred.
