Description

  • Own the AI platform end to end, including architecture, delivery, operations, cost, quality, and on-call support.
  • Design, build, and operate agentic AI systems, including LLM services, retrieval pipelines, multi-agent orchestration, execution runtimes, and human-in-the-loop capabilities.
  • Build memory infrastructure, LLMOps pipelines, automated evaluation systems, telemetry, compliance controls, and agent management APIs.
  • Create architectures, prototypes, design proposals, and proof-of-concepts aligned with business needs and long-term platform strategy.
  • Influence technical direction through architecture reviews, RFCs, design discussions, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Drive reliability, observability, monitoring, incident response, root-cause resolution, and production quality.
  • Improve product build processes, CI/CD pipelines, SDLC practices, documentation, and platform health.
  • Mentor developers, promote responsible AI-assisted development, and establish effective team practices and guardrails.
  • Represent the team in discussions with engineering, operations, product, security, subject matter experts, and external stakeholders.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and third-party LLMOps platforms, making informed build-versus-buy decisions.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience building and operating production AI systems, including latency, cost, accuracy, and reliability trade-offs.
  • Experience with agent frameworks, agent memory systems, or tool-using AI orchestration.
  • Production AWS experience and Infrastructure as Code using CDK, CloudFormation, or Terraform.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8+ years of professional software development experience with impact beyond a single team.
  • Experience designing and operating distributed, cloud-native, SaaS or multi-tenant platforms at scale, preferably on AWS.
  • Strong software fundamentals, including OOP, design patterns, SOLID principles, and code-quality practices.
  • Experience with agentic-AI development, HTTP APIs such as REST or GraphQL, and AI-assisted development tools.
  • Experience mentoring developers and influencing architecture across teams, with strong communication skills and comfort working amid ambiguity.
  • Preferred: experience with AI governance, RAG, embeddings, hybrid search, LLMOps evaluation, regulated systems, or accounting and audit workflows; familiarity with AWS, EKS, Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, Docker, Kubernetes, Python, Bash, TypeScript, and observability tools.
