Description

  • Oversee day-to-day operations within the Inspection Center.
  • Manage all aspects of the vehicle reconditioning process.
  • Direct and support at least five leads and up to 70 front-line associates.
  • Provide mentoring, accountability, coaching, leadership development, training, and performance management for direct reports.
  • Participate in developing and executing strategic plans, goals, and objectives aligned with company priorities.
  • Ensure adherence to operating standards, systems, policies, procedures, and performance standards.
  • Build a positive team environment that promotes communication, cohesion, and Carvana’s values.
  • Recruit, select, orient, and train supervisory staff.
  • Ensure progression-path training and certification processes are consistently executed.
  • Plan production capacity, support production planning, and lead problem-solving and continuous improvement efforts.

Requirements

  • 5 years of management experience in automotive or a lean manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
  • Experience leading and developing associates.
  • Proven ability to achieve project deliverables and company metrics.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Valid unrestricted driver’s license with a clean driving record in the last 3 years.
  • Ability to work overtime and on weekends.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making ability.
  • Ability to walk up to three miles per day and stand for extended periods in varied physical conditions.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds independently and use required safety equipment and PPE.
  • Hiring is contingent on passing a complete background check.
