Description

  • Oversee day-to-day operations within the Inspection Center.
  • Manage the vehicle reconditioning process and direct leads and front-line associates in a lean manufacturing environment.
  • Provide mentoring, accountability, coaching, leadership development, training, and performance management for direct reports.
  • Participate in the development and execution of strategic plans, goals, and objectives aligned with company priorities.
  • Ensure adherence to operating standards, systems, policies, procedures, and performance standards.
  • Build a team environment that promotes positive communication, cohesion, and Carvana’s values.
  • Recruit, select, orient, and train supervisory staff.
  • Ensure progression-path training and certification processes are consistently executed.
  • Plan production capacity and support production planning for each line.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and loss prevention guidelines.
  • Guide the team in meeting quality, production, and cost metrics.
  • Lead and participate in problem-solving and continuous improvement efforts.

Requirements

  • 5 years of management experience in automotive or a lean manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
  • Experience leading and developing associates.
  • Proven ability to achieve project deliverables and company metrics.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Valid unrestricted driver’s license with a clean driving record for the last 3 years.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high volume and quality standards.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends.
  • Ability to walk up to three miles per day and stand for extended periods in variable environmental conditions.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds independently and use required safety equipment and PPE.
  • Hiring is contingent on passing a complete background check.
