Description

  • Manage the movement of cars into and out of the Inspection Center safely for repairs while meeting production and quality goals.
  • Meet daily, weekly, and monthly inventory production targets.
  • Oversee day-to-day activities of the assigned team and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Coach, develop, and manage performance for hourly associates and provide ongoing feedback.
  • Create a team environment that supports positive communication, cohesion, and Carvana’s values.
  • Communicate expectations, performance measures, and goals clearly to team members.
  • Prevent and resolve conflict among team members.
  • Monitor adherence to systems, policies, procedures, and performance standards.
  • Review and approve mechanical and physical defects of incoming inventory.
  • Partner with the Inspection Center General Manager to decide whether inventory should be repaired or rejected based on repair cost and vehicle quality.
  • Train production associates on quality control standards to complete repairs correctly the first time and minimize rework and delays.
  • Maintain a safe work environment by reducing injury risks from spills and other hazardous conditions.
  • Effectively delegate tasks and manage multiple associates.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Valid unrestricted driver’s license with a clean driving record in the last 3 years.
  • Experience using computers.
  • Demonstrated functional expertise in one or more areas of Carvana’s reconditioning process.
  • Demonstrated understanding of current reconditioning processes and lean principles.
  • Ability to lift up to 60 pounds independently.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform frequent stretching, reaching, walking, stooping, pushing, and pulling in varying shop conditions.
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, and variable schedules as needed.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a professional, courteous manner, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize effectively, and resolve complex issues with guidance from others.
  • Not visa eligible / role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
