Description

Manage the safe movement of cars into and out of the Inspection Center for repairs while meeting production and quality goals.
Meet or exceed daily, weekly, and monthly inventory production targets.
Oversee day-to-day activities of the assigned team and identify strengths, weaknesses, and improvement opportunities.
Coach, develop, and manage team performance by providing feedback and demonstrating expected behaviors.
Create a team environment that supports positive communication, cohesion, and Carvana’s values.
Communicate expectations, performance measures, and goals clearly to team members.
Prevent and resolve conflict among team members.
Monitor adherence to systems, policies, procedures, and performance standards.
Review and approve identified mechanical and physical defects in incoming inventory.
Partner with the Inspection Center General Manager to repair or reject inventory based on repair cost and vehicle quality.
Train production associates to use quality control standards and complete repairs correctly the first time.
Work safely to reduce injury risk and hazardous conditions in the shop.
Manage multiple associates and support employee development and performance management.

Requirements

Valid unrestricted driver’s license with a clean driving record in the last 3 years.
High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Experience using computers.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Demonstrated functional expertise in one or more areas of Carvana’s reconditioning process.
Demonstrated understanding of current reconditioning processes and lean principles.
Ability to lift up to 60 pounds independently.
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform frequent physical movement in a shop environment that may be cold, hot, noisy, wet, or contain fumes and odors.
Ability to use required safety equipment such as face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, masks, and protective garments.
Ability to maintain high volume and high-quality output in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to delegate tasks effectively.
Ability to communicate professionally, clearly, and concisely in both written and verbal form.
Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
Ability to resolve complex issues with guidance from others.
Ability to work overtime, weekends, and variable schedules as needed.
Hiring is contingent on passing a complete background check.
