Description

  • Provide oversight and direction to the broader Account Management team to support member and client satisfaction, trend management, growth, retention, and regulatory compliance.
  • Lead the client relationship strategy and strategic business planning process across the assigned portfolio.
  • Maintain and track contractual obligations, including financials, performance guarantees, terms, reporting, and compliance.
  • Manage and facilitate account renewal and contracting with a focus on retention and financial/PNL management.
  • Serve as the relationship lead for assigned accounts and build relationships with client influencers and decision makers.
  • Anticipate customer needs and identify new opportunities within assigned accounts.
  • Develop deep knowledge of the company’s products and services to answer client questions accurately and promptly.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to customize offerings and solutions for health plan and TPA account needs.
  • Analyze pharmacy and healthcare trends, competitor activity, and industry regulations to inform strategic recommendations.
  • Lead, coach, and support the Account Team in positioning the company’s value proposition and solutions to PBA clients.
  • Partner with Business Development, Underwriting, and Senior Account Executives on growth and retention efforts, including RFPs, broker/consultant engagement, and Best & Final support.
  • Provide direction and coaching to align the Account Team on client business lines, strategies, stakeholders, and priorities.
  • Own the client end to end, including service deliverables, contractual negotiations, client escalations, and PNL management.
  • Identify and contribute to process improvement efforts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in health administration, business, or relevant professional experience; B.S. Pharmacy or PharmD is a plus.
  • At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in pharmacy, preferably within a health plan, managed care, or PBM environment.
  • Experience focused on Health Plans and payer commercial lines, including insured, self-funded, exchange, and government programs (Medicare and Medicaid).
  • Market and operational knowledge of Medicare Part D, Medicaid, and Health Exchange pharmacy is required.
  • Experience supporting highly regulated business lines.
  • Proven track record of building trust in internal and external relationships.
  • Solution-focused problem solving and client positioning skills.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to influence peers and lead cross-functional initiatives while meeting deadlines and deliverables.
  • Strong analytical ability, sound judgment, operational focus, and attention to detail.
  • Highly organized, flexible, and able to shift priorities and work independently.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Microsoft Excel and large data sets, plus other industry software programs.
  • Ability to travel and present to small and large groups, with travel estimated up to 25% and varying by season and business cycle.
