Description

  • Investigate, evaluate, and compare the latest LLM and multimodal models for in-domain use cases.
  • Develop tools and processes for creating data pipelines used in ML training and customization.
  • Fine-tune LLMs for healthcare applications.
  • Build and productionize machine learning solutions for document understanding, search and Q&A, GenAI, and virtual agents.
  • Work through the full ML model lifecycle, including problem definition, data exploration, feature engineering, training, validation, and deployment.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and quality assurance activities.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues related to AI models, integration, deployment, and backend services.
  • Document and communicate research, development processes, and architectural decisions.
  • Ensure healthcare data security and HIPAA compliance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related quantitative field.
  • PhD in AI, Machine Learning, or Computer Science preferred.
  • Minimum 4 years of industry experience with a strong focus on applied AI/ML research and development.
  • Strong grasp of object-oriented programming, design patterns, efficient algorithms, and quality software development.
  • Solid understanding of ML fundamentals, including deep neural networks, transformer-based LLMs and MLMs, boosted or standard decision trees, and RAG.
  • Strong proficiency in Python and familiarity with ML libraries such as PyTorch.
  • Experience training, fine-tuning, RLHF, or post-training autoregressive language models such as LLaMA, GPT-x, or Mistral.
  • Experience with open-source LLM platforms and training stacks such as HuggingFace and Deepspeed.
  • Experience with ML platforms such as AWS Sagemaker, Azure ML, or Databricks.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and logical thinking.
  • Ability to collaborate across disciplines in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Good written communication skills for remote collaboration.
  • Experience in healthcare or life sciences is a plus.

Benefits

  • Remote, US base salary range: $142,800 to $225,500 USD.
  • New York, NY base salary range: $180,400 to $225,500 USD.
  • Denver, CO base salary range: $165,600 to $207,000 USD.
