Description

  • Serve as the internal operational subject matter expert for NMTC legal structures, allocation requirements, and investor agreements.
  • Translate allocation agreements, investor operating agreements, and executed loan documents into repeatable operational workflows and controls.
  • Design and maintain cash schedules, reporting calendars, compliance ticklers, exit trackers, and other deal-level operational documentation.
  • Lead operational transition and onboarding of NMTC transactions from closing through the credit period, including participating in closing calls and validating system setup prior to first disbursement.
  • Review forecasts and flow-of-funds for alignment with executed documents and coordinate investor onboarding and related bank account setup.
  • Own coordination and oversight of CDE- and Sub-CDE-level reporting (AMIS, TLR, ILR), certifications, audits, and tax filings, and monitor Safe Harbor/tests and other compliance thresholds.
  • Develop, maintain, and reconcile investor cash distribution schedules; calculate and validate remittances, fee allocations, and waterfall payments; and coordinate timing with Accounting and Treasury.
  • Respond to investor, accounting, and audit inquiries related to CDE cash flows, resolve remittance discrepancies, and ensure treasury compliance across NMTC cash movements.
  • Serve as the internal operational lead for NMTC exits and unwinds: coordinate reconciliations, payoff verification, flow-of-funds sequencing, document execution, and prepare CDE-level unwind documentation to mitigate recapture risk.
  • Identify and implement process and system improvements to strengthen internal controls, reporting accuracy, and structural consistency across the NMTC lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years of NMTC/Fund experience, including familiarity with NMTC fund structure, exits, cash schedules, and compliance reporting.
  • Minimum of 5–7 years of experience working in a commercial bank or related industry.
  • Experience developing detailed schedules with tasks, accountability, and deadlines.
  • Working knowledge of business concepts, practices, and procedures with ability to apply them in varied situations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, G-Suite, and AMIS; willingness to learn in-house systems such as Salesforce and Power BI.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and demonstrated organization and attention to detail.
  • Experience extracting operational and reporting requirements from allocation agreements and investor documents and monitoring compliance tests (Safe Harbor, recapture indicators).

  • Salary range $85,869–$139,771 (may be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive).
  • Location-based salary bands: Structure A $85,896–$114,671 (all locations except B & C); Structure B $95,440–$127,412 (DC/MD/VA, non-Bay Area CA, MA); Structure C $104,697–$139,771 (NY, NJ, Bay Area).
