Description

  • Design and implement features for the online quote-and-bind platform, ensuring technical feasibility and adherence to coding standards.
  • Write high-quality, maintainable code and components that can be modified to support future requirements with support from senior developers or architects.
  • Perform broad and detailed impact assessments across people, processes, and technology, and estimate user stories using relative sizing (story points).
  • Support implementation activities including troubleshooting user/system environmental issues and delivering training as required.
  • Identify and escalate functional design issues and risks, and partner with the Product Owner to ensure code and acceptance tests reflect desired functionality.
  • Execute Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) practices to build quality into the product.
  • Plan and commit to work through Program Increment (PI) Planning and Sprint Planning, and develop Team PI Objectives.
  • Demonstrate working code in iteration and PI System Demos, participate in Sprint Retrospectives and Inspect & Adapt, and execute improvement stories.
  • Practice continuous exploration, integration, and deployment to build the Continuous Delivery Pipeline and implement DevOps; provide limited guidance to junior team members.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar full-stack development role.
  • BS in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Full professional fluency in English.
  • Proven full-stack development experience with Java/J2EE and front-end technologies including Angular, JavaScript, CSS, and HTML (MUST).
  • Experience with Java frameworks such as Spring, Spring Boot and Hibernate (intermediate; desirable).
  • Proficiency in Angular concepts and libraries such as state management, Redux patterns, RxJS, NgRx, and Angular Material (intermediate).
  • SQL proficiency (intermediate) with 2–3 years of hands-on experience (MUST).
  • Experience with TDD/BDD practices and automated testing.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD, DevOps practices, Agile ceremonies, and PI/Scrum planning and execution.
