Description

  • Lead multiple areas of product development using Agile principles to manage the team backlog and development stages.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between stakeholders, end users, business owners, and Agile teams.
  • Prioritize user stories and backlog items based on business value, scope, dependencies, and team capacity.
  • Oversee iteration planning, refinement, review, execution, and acceptance of stories as done.
  • Contribute strategic input to program backlog prioritization, risk mitigation, and product progress evaluation.
  • Partner with the Product Manager and business owner to align goals, vision, scope, and roadmap decisions.
  • Facilitate PI planning, PO/ART sync meetings, system demos, and Inspect & Adapt workshops.
  • Communicate requirements clearly to the Agile team and support story definition, estimates, sequencing, and delivery.
  • Identify process improvements and work with external business partners to implement changes.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to Product Owner I and II team members and act as backup to the Product Manager as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 4+ years of experience in a similar role.
  • Fluent English.
  • Product Owner, Scrum Master, or Product Manager certification.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment.
  • Insurance experience is highly preferred.
  • 1-3 years of leadership experience influencing and guiding others, not necessarily as a people manager.
  • Intermediate experience with Office Suite (1-3 years).
  • Intermediate experience with Rally or an equivalent tool such as Jira (1-3 years).
  • Strong skills in strategic planning, stakeholder alignment, prioritization, change management, communication, leadership, critical thinking/decision-making, and collaboration.
