Description

  • Define, quantify, and explain department metrics in partnership with data leadership and data team leads.
  • Determine how key metrics are defined, calculated, captured, and published.
  • Build and maintain dashboards and reports for the data department using Power BI.
  • Design, develop, and maintain business intelligence solutions that turn reporting needs into actionable insights.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and translate them into effective visuals.
  • Support continuous improvement by tracking metrics and helping teams adhere to goals.
  • Normalize and reconcile inconsistent data and metrics from multiple sources.
  • Connect to and work with data from various backend systems.
  • Communicate data insights clearly and influence internal teams to act on findings.
  • Help train and share Power BI knowledge with others when needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • English proficiency.
  • 4–6 years of experience with Power BI.
  • Strong hands-on experience creating, modifying, and maintaining reports and dashboards.
  • Experience with real-world Power BI reporting.
  • Comfort working with various backend systems and data sources.
  • Ability to understand stakeholder needs and translate them into effective visuals.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain insights and influence teams.
  • Ability to solve problems and normalize inconsistent data from multiple sources.
  • Comfort working in ambiguity and shifting priorities.
  • Exposure to SQL Server, Snowflake, ETL concepts, or data quality dimensions is preferred.
  • Familiarity with data environments is preferred but not required.
  • Strong team player with willingness to share knowledge and train others on Power BI.
  • High emotional intelligence to work with 13+ data teams and adapt to different communication styles.
  • Self-starter who can manage a high volume of complex, changing information.
  • Influencing skills to build relationships and elicit the right data from stakeholders.
